Your Spire stone can stand up to a lot of wear and tear but if you often wear your Spire against your skin, you'll want to read below.
Keep it Clean
- Regularly clean your stone — especially after working out or sweating. Rinse it with water or wipe it with a bit of rubbing alcohol. Do NOT use hand soap, body soap, dish soap, or household cleaners which could get trapped beneath the band and irritate skin. Dry it well.
- Make sure to avoid build-up of lotions and oils (such as sunscreen, insect repellent, and moisturizers) by using a soap-free cleanser (like Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser or Aquanil). Rinse it with a bit of water then dry it well.
- You can use a soft-bristled toothbrush for tough spots, stains, or build-up.
Keep it Dry
- While your stone is water resistant, avoid having a wet one on your skin for too long.
- Rinse and dry it thoroughly before wearing your Spire.
Don't Wear it Too Tight
- Make sure your stone is secure but not too tight against your skin. It should be close enough to have contact but it should be loose enough to slide over your skin, not rub against it.
- If wearing Spire against your skin, prolonged rubbing and pressure may irritate the skin, so give your skin a break by changing its location and removing it for an hour after extended wear.
- Skin conditions such as eczema, allergies, or asthma may make you more susceptible to skin irritation or allergy from Spire stone.
- If you start to experience redness or skin irritation where you wear Spire, remove your device. If symptoms persist longer than 2-3 days of not using your device, contact a dermatologist.
- If you sweat for more than two hours while wearing your stone, wash your stone using the directions above.
